@Aerinea It is possible to get fake bunads that are a lot cheaper, but the real bunads are very expencive, mainly because of them being handsewn and having very intricate embroidery (the more plain bunads are cheaper than the more detailed ones), but the gold brooches and silver buttons also add to the price.

Okay, that is more expensive than my tracht. Significantly. Although I might charge something similar to that for some of my own work if it were, say, a full Victorian costume, including support garments. It's about four or five times what I spent on my nicest corset.

I don't know how much you've spent on that, but the bunad I've recreated in this picture costs 30 000 kr, which is around 5000 dollars. Been saving up for it for 2 years now.

Heh, it's probably comparable to the amount that's been spent on Bayrisch tracht in my household.

@Aerinea They're very beautiful. Sadly these dresses are also really expencive since they're handsewn and have gold and silver decorations. D:
