@Dollie you didn't sound preachy at all! Thank you for correcting me ^^ I didn't mean to imply that the pink ruffly style was actually belonging to Classic Lolita, but that it was the Lolita style I've seen most often (and is therefore, to me, a more "classic" Lolita style, whether or not it's actually Classic Lolita, if that makes any sense).

(c) didn't sound too preachy about the whole substyles thing, I just wanted to correct that Sweet Lolita, the ultra-girly style, is not what Lolita means and Gothic Lolita is just as popular! xP)

(c) this is lovely and well done for someone who is barely familiar with the style. Lolita has a lot of rules and things you have to follow to keep from looking like an "Ita" (fake Lolita) and I think you really nailed the style! The texturizing on the skirt and socks are to die for! And I really love the shoes. The lace on the bottom of the skirt is so lovely, I would never have thought to use that draggie for that! (c) Lolita is a style that puts far more emphasize on Victorian influences and darker colors. *ahem* So, Gothic Lolita is what you would consider a "classic" Lolita style since it is one of the big 3 substyles. Lolita is just an umbrella for all the Lolita substyles and, although Sweet ("pink ruffles") is the most common, Gothic is actually perfectly acceptable and actually what I think of when I think of Lolita is usually Gothic (being a Gothic Lolita myself)!
