Congratulation for placing Best in Patterns and Prints: 3rd Place in my Black Tie Dinner Party contest. Most noticeably, this dress stands out due to that interesting pattern. Such a playful pattern made of different shades of pink and adorned with beading makes this a dress to remember.
Thank you Falak. its the assigned coursework. and this is my 2nd year taking the class. did 24 pieces last year as well. I have 12 posted to here. I am actually ahead in the class so I have lots of free time. and I have finally returned to dolling. Im enjoying it again and plan to continue with it
@Pipsqueak,LOL I shouldn't laugh but I was remembering my cousin and I when we forced each other to do things like this. We always had fun. @Ginge, I'm very impressed that you have taken on such a project for your class. Indeed, you should focus your energy and inspiration towards it. Dolling can wait for when you have time or need a break. Nonetheless, it was a pleasure to see the doll you made. <3
Haha this is Ginge. thanks guys. I guess I phrased this wrong. I'm doing completely fine. Happy even. See I'm not exactly uninspired. what is happening is I am in my schools AP art program. Which means I have to make 24pieces in a year. 12 a semester. So I've been using all my inspiration for that. Its not that I'm uninspired. I just have been using it for my art. So no dolls unfortunately. Buuuttt Im trying to make some. So I will make a ball gown. Thanks for the support!
I'm so glad you are joining us for the Black Tie Dinner Party. This pink dress is fantastic, Pipsqueak! I like how you used different shades and created the pattern. Please tell Ginge that I'll be looking for her at the party. I'm planning to leave open at least till the end of this week or the 18th so she'll have more time. I too have slumps. It helps to think of movies dresses or online to get an idea. :)
That happens to me too sometimes. The thing that helps me the most is looking at some of the amazing creations DD has to offer. I look back over my favourite dolls, through the newest dolls, the highest voted dolls, even my own dolls. I find I always end up being inspired by something, then I have a go at putting my own spin on it. I hope this helps her:) Cheer up Ginge!
