WIP step 3 still in process ~ by Falak

I mostly do free hand. Sometimes the dress just takes shape as I go. Other time when I have a theme in mind I can have a general idea and then work towards it. This one in particular I was inspired by some of the Carnival costumes I saw while in Vegas last year. The actual design just took shape as I imagined what I wanted. I'll try to cover decorations too. Just keep in mind I'd not an expert at these.

Do you look up dress shapes to get inspiration or do you mostly free-hand? Btw thanks for elaborating on color choices for the decorations! I have trouble branching out because it's hard to see what does together >.>

Also important to note, that most of my dolls only have 3 steps. Meaning if I wasn't doing elaborate this is where an average doll can end. I would then spend an extra 10 plus mins to adding finishing touched after step 3. In this case I estimate a need for step 4. Check back in a few hours. I'll finish up after a short break.
