| A costume I REALLY want to make someday! It's no secret that I love my heritage, and this spring I got to actually meet with fellow members of my clan (my paternal grandmother is a MacFarlane, which makes me one as well)! So, the brooch at the waist of this costume is the Clan MacFarlane kilt brooch, and the overall design is a reference to traditional Highland dress. IRL, the overskirt (called an earasaid) would be pink and black tartan. <3 This was my first time shading velvet, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! |
