The perem, or caterpillar stage (also a person going through their perem), is a period where young tzela stand at half their parents’ height, have more poodle-like appearances, are a plain whitish-tan color, and are wingless. Their chitin is a paler tone of what they will have as a fully-fledged tzela. They have no need for parenting, unlike babies of other species, and mostly spend their time eating, laughing, and chatting with their fellow perem. Usual foods are leaves and flowers. Fruits are eaten on special occasions. After an adult tzela is finished sipping the nectar from a flower, they can donate the flower to a peremi dining hall or give it to perem of their own. The perem stage usually lasts for a lunar month. Their ideal weight is 0.2-0.3 pounds. This perem is wearing some pretty fancy clothing! |
