| My entry for @QueenGrania's 3 week contest. I loved the beautiful traditional clothing of this country, especially that of the dancers. These dance outfits vary in both style and color, but they tend to be floor-length and include a veil. I tried to make the background imitate the stones used in the old architecture of Azerbaijan. I was happy to be assigned this country because some old family friends lived there for many years as missionaries. They ran a home for abandoned/orphaned girls until the government decided to kick them out. I always liked seeing the pictures they brought back when they visited the U.S. #Pixie #Contest #Dancer |
