Awwww, these two are absolutely adorable!! ;3; I love their character designs & their backgrounds are so cute~!! Berry definitely looks like a prince!! I adore his coat & the gold-leaf pattern on his dress shirt!! The gold detailing along his coat & on his cuffs are fantastic too & Darry's hat is bloody fabulous~!! I LOVE how you made it!! The shape, color, shading, & little blue feathered accents are just perfect~!! His outfit is so bright & colorful to with them red pants!! SO cute~!! ;3; <3

Thanks for the compliments! Their relationship is indeed scandalous - for the class difference mainly. Because Berry is farther down in the succession, people aren't as bothered that Darry is a man. If he was heir to the throne, everyone would be in a tizzy. The lower classes of society are endeared to him for being with "one of theirs" while the higher classes - especially the nobility - view it as slumming and in bad taste. =) thanks for your interest!

wow what a cute couple! I'm really interested here, I know Berry doesn't care, but is their relationship scandalous? And is it more scandalous for class difference or for being gay? (I've got a mess of a novel I'm working on and the main guy - a prince - is dating a guy and I kept trying to figure out how to make it work and then I was like...the Tarai are fake people. They don't HAVE to be homophobic, They can just...not be. I don't have to justify it.) Anyway, I love this! Also his vest, nice!

Darry is an always-smiling, bouncy sort of person who loves to sing, act, and dance. He's always positive but is given to bad habits and making poor decisions. And his self-esteem is abysmal. Berry is down-to-earth and deeply caring. More than anything he craves "normal" treatment without all the complications and barriers his title can create. Darry fulfills this need for him, and Berry takes care of Darry in return. - This doesn't do them justice at all but basically they are super adorable =3

Beron (or Berry) is a prince - 5th in line I think - and Darius (or Darry) is a "street rat." They first meet at about 6 or 7 years old and become fast friends much to the King's chagrin. Berry couldn't care less about appearances or station and remains fiercely loyal to his friend, even securing lodging for him at the palace. The years only bring them closer together and they fall in love.
