Naming their children alphabetically, I guess this is a good practice for parentsâ¦XD a poor girl she is, but so beautiful, like a delicate flower. I love how you did the torso part of her dress!
Despite constant warnings that riding is too strenuous for her, she rides quite often and most times knows when to stop and come back to the mansion, though there are times that she simply gets carried away and ends up on bedrest the next day. She wants more than anything to be healthy and strong so that she can stop being a burden to everyone and go back to her family. She would even go as far as to make a deal with the devilâ¦
She sticks to mostly quiet activities, playing piano or writing in her journal, maybe a painting or two. But her deepest love is horses and riding, something that she really shouldnât be doing. Her grandmotherâs stables are her only comfort and the horses her only friends.
Over the years, she has come to feel that her family got tired of her constant illness and simply sent her here to be rid of her and the burden she came withâ¦she feels abandoned and lonely, but at the same time is slow to trust anyone because she doesnât want to be left again. The time in the mountains has done her good though. She doesnât need her wheelchair all the time and sheâs stronger than before, but her health is still a bit fragile and she canât overdo anything.
Unfortunately, no one could go with her. Her parents were both busy with the family business, her sisters either had their own families or were courting and her brother, while he loved his sister and wanted to help, being the only heir to the business means not too much freedom for him as well (Although he does sneak a visit to Emmeline once in a while). So Emmeline is left with her grandmother, a very distant woman, in the large mountain mansion.
As she got older and her health declined further, her parents decided to send her to live with her grandmother up in the mountains, hearing that mountain air was good for the health, as well as the home grown food there.
Bio: Emmeline is the youngest of five children, three sisters and one brother (Amelia (26, married), Beatrice (25, married), Constance (23, courting) and Daniel (22, single, bit of a player) ( (yes, their parents went by alphabet with their children XD). Due to complications at birth, Emmeline has always been a very sickly child, prone to illness and very weak. For most of her childhood, she had to be in a wheelchair because her body was too weak to support her own weight and movement.
