Beautiful! Beautiful OC and a great idea to have her meet inhabitants of the city in every chapter! For your questions: curency isn't restricted to coins but you can pay in services and goods, anything goes! As for the landscape we are in the middle of alpine nowhere with little vegetation and a lot of vulcanic activity so its warm and dry mosg of the time. Hope this helps!

Lidari chuckled softly to herself. "I remember training my dragon. Well, we like to say that we trained each other." Too far, Lidari. That was weird of you to say. The woman merely raised an amused eyebrow. "Quite true." "Well, um...I should be going. Yes, lots of things I have to do." Without another word, Lidari dashed off and wished beyond anything else that she could just fly away with Aurelia and forget what she saw back in the canyons.

"Ah. They seem to like you," the woman remarked, hands on her hips. She gazed up at the silver dragon curiously. "Even the rather unfriendly one." "Um...thank you? I just...understand them better than humans, I guess." Lidari paused and tried to come up with something to say next. People like it when you ask them questions about themselves, right? Nothing too personal, of course. "You're training them?" "Yes. There's more room to fly out here."

Lidari jumped in surprise and turned her attention to a woman standing nearby. Despite her soft pink smile and downy blue eyes, there was a sharp cleverness to her that Lidari could see in the businesswomanâs posture. "What? Oh, I--uh, no. I mean, I already have a dragon." Lidari groaned inwardly. Her conversational skills had only grown worse over the years.

As Lidari approached the city, she noticed a group of dragons standing around in a small clump on the outskirts of the buildings. She beamed and increased her pace, hopping nimbly over a series of narrow chasms in the rock. She came to a stop by the nearest dragon, massive and gleaming silver in the muted sunlight. A lord among dragons, certainly. Lidari bowed and looked up into the dragon's brilliant eyes. "Looking for a dragon?"

Lidari strode purposefully across the field of black rock veined with silver, singing an old melody to herself as she went. She could hardly be called a good singer, but she sang all the same. She had walked for hundreds of miles to get away from the city, and yet here she was--back in the city she had hoped to leave behind for good.

Lidari leapt down from their place on the top of a rocky cliff, making her way through the jagged black boulders with relative ease before pausing at the bottom. The city was still about a mile away, but even from that distance Lidari recognized many of the glittering buildings. After all the years she had been away, little seemed to have changed. At least, little from this perspective.

"It's good to be back, don't you think?" Lidari wondered aloud, giving Aurelia a sideways look. The dragon flicked her eyes to the layered city nestled in the black, desolate mountains before returning her steady, golden gaze to Lidari. "Okay, no, I'd rather be anywhere else but here," Lidari relented, rolling her eyes. She sighed heavily. "You stay here and look around for a cave or something for us to stay in. I think I'll give myself the tour."
