| I should be working on other things or probably studying for exams, but nah! I'm determined to develop this story, so here is the goddess of the earth and of life and the god of death. Since the language of the Ixorans has evolved over the years, they are now called Lord Kismet and Lady Essence, but they will still be called by their formal and original names on occasion. These two were the first two deities to appear in the universe; no one knows how they came to be (even they don't know). Since I love patterns, they play a big part in the culture of this world. Patterns and symbols are very important; for instance, the owl on Lord Kismet's chest is a symbol of death. The markings on Lady Essence's face represent the tears of loneliness that she cried at the beginning of the universe (Death is not very interesting or pleasant company). Those tears became the other gods and goddesses, who then helped Essence form the mortal realm. ~Gwenn |
