Sara drew a circle over the spot. "It's a good distance from here so I would recommend you take the train." Cyrus nodded and took the map from Sara's outstretched hand. "Thank you. It was quite fortunate that we met." Sara nodded and walked past, glancing over her shoulder. "I'll see you around." Cyrus turned and watched Sara retreat into the distance, his eyes cold and focused. "Yes, I believe I will."

"Who is that in the photo?" Cyrus inquired. Sara smiled nonchalantly. "That's my great-grandmother. I only knew her for a short time before she died but she was a good mentor." "She looks a lot like you," Cyrus pointed out. "Yes, she does. Funny how that happens, right? They say there are seven people in the world that look almost exactly like you, and I suppose she's one of them." Sara uncapped the pen and tucked the photograph into her pocket again. "Now, the station is here."

"Do you have a map? I could try to point you in the right direction." Cyrus hastily unfolded a map that had been residing in his pocket and held it out. "Yes." Sara took it and pulled a pen from her pocket. As she did so, an old photograph fluttered out and fell to the ground. Cyrus bent down and picked it up, finding that the photo was of a young man and woman. It was faded and slightly damaged but the woman looked uncannily like Sara. "Oh, thanks," Sara said, taking the photo hastily.

"You sound like a native by your accent," Cyrus said. "I do know Paris well," Sara answered. "Is it your first time here? I could give you directions to any place you're looking for." The corners of Cyrus's mouth twitched. "It's a person I am looking for, actually. I don't know the person but we have a meeting." "Where's the meeting?" Sara inquired. "Somewhere in the eighth neighborhood of Paris, I believe. Near the Charles de Gaulle station." "Oh, that's right where I live," Sara said eagerly.

This mortal girl could be of use if she knew the streets of Paris well, as she seemed to. He extended his hand. "My name is Cyrus." The girl's violet eyes flickered from the stranger's hand to his face. "Sara," she said, taking his hand and shaking it lightly. She had a strong grip but Cyrus doubted that she had held a weapon in her life. "Have you lived here all of your life?" he asked. Sara smiled slightly, glancing at the ground. "Most of my life, yes."

"That's quite an interesting coat," she remarked, a bit more nervously than she intended with the way his eyes seemed to be made of blood and steel. "Going somewhere special?" The man's eyes hardened even further, if that was possible, before he seemed to consider something and he tried to force a smile. "No. This is my uniform." "Are you part of the English palace guard?" Sara asked. "Not quite," the man replied.

"Oh, my apologies, sir. I should have been watching where I was walking," Sara says, looking up into the crimson eyes of the pale blonde man. Crimson eyes. How strange. Perhaps he was on his way to some sort of event; certainly his clothing seemed a bit out of place as well. The man gave her a cold stare. "Think nothing of it." Sara would have let the man simply walk away but she had been trying to be more social lately so she tried to keep the conversation going a bit longer.
