Both me, and you, and the little tree, Really really need to see, That although there is no one we can find, We are only just so blind, Our closest friends aren't always seen, but their presence is always keen. Never, never lose hope, Keep on holding on to the rope, The people who know, the people who care, will most definitely always be there.

The old old tree lost more and more peers, Soon he lost the will to stay alive, And so he could never thrive, On his last, lonely night, sadness won the fight, The old, old tree finally died, As the stars cried and cried. For the tree couldn't believe, That his closest friends would never leave. The stars were there the whole time, Not making more noise than a chime, The ones who loved him the most were forgotten, Yet their hearts never grew rotten.

No visitors, no source of pride, the little lone tree was joy deprived! As the little tree grew more and more lonely, it could only cry, sadly. Every night the little tree cried, as more and more stars died, And so the little, one tree, stopped being so little as you can see, The Old lone tree sat atop the hill, hanging in the harsh night's chill. No friends, no family, and certainly no glee, Every went to visit the old, old tree. Soon after many years,
