The young Witch held out her arms for the quick hug and cheek kiss she'd given the others. Mark wasn't settling for that. Moving in close, he tilted her chin up with one hand and slid the other down her shoulder. "Disarm," Mark murmured, kissing her lips lightly but extremely sweetly... and taking the staff from her nerveless fingers. He stepped back, eyes dancing. "Nice try," Marea responded, making a gesture that had the staff flying to her, nearly pulling him off of his feet. "Very nice."

Last of all, Mark Frost stood, yet he said nothing. "London isn't far," Marea playfully echoed Robin. "I'll catch your act someday soon." "Not too soon; my wing has to heal a bit more before I'm back to street worthiness." The rebel Yeled hesitated a moment longer. "Can I call you?" he asked. "Well, of course you can; you hacked my phone, didn't you?" the Witch replied, trying for lightness. "Marea, can I call you?" Mark repeated. "Yeah," she said earnestly, "yeah, definitely call me."

Marea laughed as well. "That makes Robin the true hero of this escapade, doesn't it? There's no evading my Word for you," she told him. "True heroes accept no thanks; we serve because it is our very natures to be heroic," the Bubble Magician teased. Sobering, he offered, "Keep your Word and give me a hug instead; we're friends, right? London isn't far. You have to come see my act!" When he got up, so did Belandvyn and Tylyr. All three got hugs and kisses from Marea, and blessings from Gran.

"Please, don't diminish our vow to your mother by insisting on giving us yours," the Ghillie Dhu added with a sly grin. "Besides, that was the most fun we've had in decades, right Belandvyn?" The Maenad nodded, laughing. "Friendship is as sacred as a promise," she said. "Well, then, Robin? Mark?" the young Witch pressed, turning to the pair of street performers. "I owed you reparations," Mark countered, looking satisfied with himself, "for hacking your phone. Don't reward me for that."

The next evening, everyone ate together, aside from Elora, who was awake yet moping dejectedly in her room. No one wanted to be the first to rise from the table, since that was a prelude to leaving for home, and they'd become so close over the course of their adventures. Finally, Marea said seriously, "I owe you all a Word of Obligation, for saving my life at the Tower by the river. Please, do me the honor of accepting." Tylyr spoke for both Fae when he replied, "It was our honor to serve."
