| After the wedding, Ariel went to live on land with her prince, but because she missed the sea, she had a personal swim tank installed in an antechamber. Unfortunately, the importance of keeping the tank scrupulously clean had not yet become clear, and she contracted the fish disease, Ick! As it turns out, Ick has a terrible effect upon transformed mermaids; they become so vitamin deficient that they must turn to cannibalism to survive. There being no other transformed mermaids available, her desires turn toward humans who have just recently eaten fish. But she's not bitter about it. Oh no, she's more sweet and sour. |
