Greek goddesses of Love, and of Marriage, respectively. Ironically, these two were at best "frenemies", and Hera was much better known for her role as Queen of the Gods. Aphrodite was unique among the Olympians in that she was no kin of Zeus, but rather rose from the sea.

Thanks MizMickey! She could have gotten him for adultery even in ancient times, though, at least in some cultures. Sadly, not in Greece.

especially Hera, but I might have gotten a bit testy if I'd had to put up with Zeus for a husband----no fault divorce was a LOOOONG way in the future!!
