Very pretty! She looks so gorgeous and happy <3 I love dip-dye dresses as well and this is an awesome one; I'd be tempted to buy it if I saw it in a shop (even though I've nowhere to wear it!) That colour shift must've been tricky in this maker, too.
So that you can see it, if you think it would help you visually. (My tips might not be super clear, I'm a little coffee-deficient, xD). So if you'd like to see it, just let me know!! Though it is far from perfect, I assure you. (Tell me on my contest though, I might not get back to this right away). <3 :D
Also, as you get closer to the edge, start using smaller D&D so it doesn't overlap onto the background. 2nd: The D&D available is not EXACTLY the same hue as the default colors of the dress (shadows & such are apparent) so in order to give the dress a uniformed look, drag various D&D of the colors along the whole outfit. (Lighter colors on the top to blend & darker colors on the bottom). If that makes sense. Anyway, like I said, I tried my hand at it. If you want, I can post the doll, (contd)
I think this is excellent for a first attempt!! I agree with Belnika, shading on this maker is exceptionally trickier but I do think you did a lovely job!! I just tried my hand at it, & it was VERY difficult. Tips for shading on this maker: 1st, use the small full-colored blobs that do not have a fuzzy halo around them to cover the lines separating the skirt from the top. That way, you don't have to worry about covering them with a ton of D&D. (Contd)
Oh I just saw that you asked me for a critique! Well, main thing is try to work in a more-subtle gradient next time. using more hues of peach over a larger area of the dress will help smooth things out. I have to say this maker is particularly difficult to do shading/blending on since it doesn't naturally have gradients. and also because the colors and the differences between the colors are so sharp. this is a good start though! good job!
