I would be Yemaya, Goddess of the Oceans. Yemaya would be part of Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" universe. A graying but still beautiful and statuesque black woman working as a nurseon the surface. But beneath she would be a powerful goddess brought by African slaves to the new world and still worshiped in the Voudun, and Santeria religions. She controls water and rain, and has healing powers. She sides with the Old Gods when called by Mr. Wednesday, and takes a liking to his driver, Shadow.
