Even without her long hair, she still looks beautiful. From the way she spoke to Ka'asume at the baths, something makes me doubt that she was completely ignorant of what was to take place at the Alignment festival... although I daresay she got more than she bargained for. I can't imagine A'ine will easily forgive how she was humiliated, and I get the feeling that we have a lot more to look forward to from her.

Indeed, Leaf. The people may be regarding Ka'asume as Empress already, but technically, until she is anointed by the Grand Council, she is still only the heir. The rebels cut A'ine's hair as short, or perhaps a little shorter than that of a low-ranking servant. I suppose in a way she does resemble Cersei, but I must admit I've never actually watched or read GoT. ^^ A'ine is most certainly not out of the game, nor are her sons.

With or without her hair of symbol of state, the Empress still is the Empress, or perhaps Empress Dowager, maybe even Empress Regent. The rebels did cut a noticeable amount of hair from her, more than I had anticipated. She somehow reminds me of Queen Cersei from GoT, whose hair was cut at some point. Empress A'ine certainly won't just forsakes her influence in the Imperial Court.
