Far from plotting a potential escape with, for example, the fabric merchant providing the cloth for Brin's gown, Elora would rather be insulated from a mass of strangers. The initial planning would be further pressed for time since costumes for the Midnight Masquerade in Seaddhu on All Hallows Eve would also need to be thought about. You couldn't simply drop everything just because you were engaged to be married; other social events demanded attention as well, and the Masquerade was always fun.

"Yes, I... would like that very much. I've always been fairly adept at the organization of details, I think," Elora replied mistily. "And it was good being with you again after so many years." Thus is was set up for the two sisters to abide for a while together at Ynarra's cottage in the Black Forest, which was to be the hub of activity for the majority of the wedding preparations. She was forbidden to see tradespeople, unless they were cleared by Ynarra, but reclusive Elora didn't mind that.

"I need to speak with your Mistress Supreme," she told her younger sister, "about borrowing you for the duration... meaning from now until whenever we actually hold the ceremony. You would be under my supervision and authority, and work as my whatsit... administrative assistant... meaning you would do the drudgery that I'd prefer not to handle myself." Ynarra paused to consider Elora's expression. "Would that be acceptable to you? Would you like to do that, or at least like to be with us?"

Still, Elora promised to do her duty to the family and not only help with the wedding preparations, but furthermore attend the ceremony in order to please the bride. Ynarra had to be content with that, and she hoped the business of the upcoming nuptials would strengthen her sister's confidence. She, herself, anticipated being swamped with things to do and decisions to make soon enough; she could use a personal secretary, or assistant, or whatever they called them now, Ynarra thought slyly.

A trial by the Old Ways was certainly not the first thing which would spring to mind in these days, and murder and treachery were grave crimes. Maybe, just maybe, Ooneil's prejudiced relatives had been mistaken. If not, there would, apparently, be plenty of faces at Brin's wedding to lose herself behind and thereby achieve obscurity... assuming the guests consented to come knowing she'd be there; this wouldn't be an irresistible Lyllaen party, even if it was a prestigious Twilight Realm event.
