For Rehana, this week I chose to go with bold, striking on-skin patterns reminiscent of North African traditional women's tattooing and henna staining motifs, only in more than a single color. I wanted to create an authentic tribal feel, without copying any particular ethnic group's signature style. Therefore I stuck largely to swirls of different types, and whole or partial sunbursts.
