Once the Kuromi girl is located, it is a relatively simple matter to arrange to vanish for an hour or so, and meet at a prearranged spot in the lush gardens. Indeed, due to their relationship, it's almost expected of Velen and Catleya to absent themselves from the main party for a while. And since Prem Deva's status hovers somewhere between guest and servant, it's easy enough to sneak out the back way like upper staff, and then explore the estate's landscaping like a guest of minor importance.

As soon as it is polite to do so, Catleya buttonholes Velen di Camparo, not keeping him tethered to her side, but moving about obviously as a couple. "So, have you ever decided what term you want to use for me?" he teases her gently. "As in, 'this is Velen, he's my...'?" The lavender haired girl frowns, slightly. "It's an old label, but I might accept beau... if I must," she says finally. Aware, and furious, that she's blushing, Cat abruptly changes the subject. "Do you see Deva anywhere?"

Catleya misses the friendly comradeship of getting ready for a huge party with her best friend, Prem Deva, but the Kuromi girl has many last minute dress adjustments and generalized fussing over clients to do on the night of the Eve of Reunion Gala. The young assassin planned the three-way information exchange for this occasion, because with everyone's increasingly busy schedules, this was one of the few times Cat could be sure of Deva, Velen, and herself all being in the same place together.

Thanks sincerely, Saphi!! I got to that point in the dress and I knew it still needed something, but I wasn't sure what. So I experimented with sprinkling glitter, and that worked really well. :)
