Taronyu is particularly impressed by Amen's ethics and restraint. Therefore, after consulting briefly with his wife, he offers that the fey boy can stay with them in the south for a few weeks, as long as he regularly checks in with his semi-sister and Silver Fox, and providing that he retire to the interior of the diamond every night. Syeha's father has only heard tales of Amen, and wants to meet the young djinn himself. If he cannot fit in with her family, then he is wrong for Syeha anyway.

As a djinn, he could simply materialize bodily from out of the stone, but Amen is conscientious, and will not do so without having been invited by Syeha's parents. Syura is delighted to hear the news, but there remains in her mind the sense that some small but vital element is missing. She is not alone; Syeha has the same presentiment, and neither Ifrit nor Silver Fox believe that the riddle is completely solved yet. Still, everyone feels they have taken a major step in the right direction.

And now Ifrit thinks that she has devised a carefully worded enough wish to do precisely that, while still being pronounceable in a single breath. This is important because any pause or hesitation could be interpreted by the diamond as the beginning of a separate wish. One can never be too careful with genie magic. Of course, Amen wants to share this breakthrough with Syeha immediately, and so, as a signal, warms the ring that she wears, thus prompting her to rub the gem and speak with him.
