I chose Jack Chalker's "River of the Dancing Gods" series as my medium for @Belnika's contest. In these books there is a parallel universe that is governed by an extensive set of Rules, rather than by science. These Rules were decided upon by a set of predominantly dirty old male wizards, leading to one of the first rules being, "All beautiful women shall be scantily clad, weather permitting." They literally have no choice about this any more than rain can fall up because it feels falling down is typecasting. So, clockwise from the top left: Barbarian, Mage (wood witch), Thief, and Princess, as they would appear in that world.

I love the Thief's top (and oh, Jack L. Chalker. I have both fond and not-so-fond memories of his Changewinds series).

LOL, this is cute. Leave it to pervy men to come up with a "logical" reason for women to be scantily clad. I'll have to check out that series. Very nicely done, too. All of them look so right. The thief is my favorite.
