With art, there is no way to be completely original. Artwork always has infusions of other peoples' styles and techniques, it's called taking inspiration, not copying. Wasn't it Picasso who said "Art is theft?" It's not where you take things from, it's where you take them to!
The reality is, techniques cannot be expected to live in a vacuum. The only way to make sure an idea, style or technique never influences anyone is is to keep it private and not post it online. Posting here is about sharing and inspiring others. If anyone has instances of savage plagiarism, like someone downloading then re-uploading dolls by others, please email me links.
Thank you @The_Nameless. Tbh, I don't even know what it is I've supposed to of done and I just want to be left alone! Also thanks for the practice doll mention :D I wasn't sure many people had seen it :)
*scrolls down* I respect both of you and your doll making quite a bit, so it's really sad to me to see this fighting. :( Especially because you've both been such unique and original artistic voices on here for so long. Maybe ya'll should find a mediator? Just a suggestion. I'll butt out now.
I don't have to deal with this. I have not copied you, or anyone because I am sick of people copying ME. I don't want people feeling how I felt and if you're awake at night over some tiny little thing that has no effect on your professional career or real life because it's a CHILDREN'S GAME ON THE INTERNET, then that's not my fault, or my problem, sorry. Now, kindly stop the witch hunt.
