This week I was assigned the peony flower. Peonies are very layered, ruffly flowers which range from white-ish pink to a deep blush-red colour. Pinkish peonies mean love (some shades represent romantic love, so they're commonly used for weddings and some represent motherly or familial love), while deep pink-red peonies represent bashfulness or shame, and red peonies in Asia represent honour. I decided to go with a ruffled wedding dress to represent the petals and meaning of the flower, and I displayed the many colours of peonies with the ruffles. The sparkly flower draggie looks a lot like a peony, so I used it in this doll as well. I'm happy how this turned out :) |
