Hanfu request for @Sanctuary. She in a summer themed Hanfu.
For me, summer means lotus flowers, fireflies and cooled watermelons, and star-gazing. In my childhood, I've always wanted to be able to recognise the Vega and Altair stars. In Chinese folktales, they are lovers, one mortal man, the other a celestial maiden, forced to be separated by the queen of celestials. The unions between mortals and celestials are forbidden by the heavenly law, thus the queen of celestials drew the Milky Way using her hair pin to make sure they will never reach each other. However, once a year, on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month, a flock of magpies would form a bridge to reunite the lovers for one day.
