A scurry of footsteps echoes in the empty hallways of the City. Ming hurries forward, absentmindedly returns the greetings from junior members. She approaches a secluded corner and knocks on the lonely door. "Miss Esther, are you home?" "Come in!" A voice rings from inside. Ming pushes the door open. "Miss Esther, what..." The engineer gasps as the other woman dashes towards her and grabs her by the wrist. "Shiii" the woman in turquoise and purple points to a large set of flasks, tubes and beakers. A liquid of strange colour whirls through the pipes, one drop falls in a culture dish. The solution crystalised. Ming draws a breath of relief, "Miss Esther, what is your new experiment?" "Experiment? I was making fireworks." Esther speaks with a big grin across her face. "Fire..fireworks?" Ming widens her eyes in bafflement."I'm hungry, do you have food?" Esther rubs her hands.

'Oh Master Varyh...' Ming coughs over chocking smoke 'I guess your daggers will have to wait...'

"Oh yes, rust-protection solution! Right away!" Esther throws the other half of the loaf aside, she opens her arms and gathersa pile of flasks and tubes. "This...a bit of this..." then a vial of suspicious green liquid appears in her hand, "Miss Esther, you sure that vial doesn't belong to Duchess Everdys?" "Easy, I'm a professional!" Too late...the members of the Order all turn to the source of a loud explosion, shaking their heads helplessly.

"Yes, here you are." Ming hands the other woman a basket. Esther breaks a bread loaf and stuffs her mouth with a half. "Why you look different from us?" Ming sighs, "Miss Esther, I came three days before remember? Asking you about a rust-protection solution." "Rust is nasty, always jam my sewers...what for?" "For a commission of one of our members." "Commission is good...wait do I have commission as well? The man with good skull?" "Miss Esther, do you have it for me?"
