| Mercedes, a Morrigan, and her Dark Angel for @Viva-la-Luna. Morrigans are soul bearers and guardians of the newly deceased. They seal the kiss of death, thus extinguish the candle of life and welcome s/he who walked the earth back into the embrace of Gaia. Morrigans work in pairs, one lantern bearer, one scythe holder. They are partners, also teachers (scythe holders) and pupils (lantern bearer). Dark Angels are those who made bargains with Morrigans for extra time. They do not go back to the Temple of Gaia at the end of their days, but remain vassals to the Morrigans they made bargains with. All in all Morrigans are the Grim Reaper/Shinigami types of figures.
