Extraordinary effort on the light! Mysterious and dramatic, and both's outfit are so well created! Oh I love this so much. Cyrus' uniform, Sara's top and skirt, this is totally epic! And on the side note, I'm working on the story...and took the liberty to have Sara a part of it...so the basic situation is, Alinna also is aware of the existence of Sara. So Cyrus, whatever you're having in mind, think twice. Also, what do you think Sara's current career is? A singer, or a writer? Or both?

How interesting. Perhaps my instincts are better than I thought. Of course, thinking back on my halfhearted wish to see her again I am disgusted with myself. Sara must have mastered veiling her aura--no surprises there--but she didnât seem to recognize that I was a Damian. Perhaps she did not know of the Damians. Unlikely, but possible. In any case, I would have to find her. The fourth neighborhood, she had said? Near the Hotel de Ville station?

The door swings shut behind me and I immediately take a seat near the window to watch the passersby and wait for the rain to let up slightly. The store only has a few customers sitting inside, mostly working on laptops or reading books. As I sit I overhear a conversation between two workers. My French is poor but I am able to understand most of it. "I havenât seen Sara Chatain come in for the past few days." "Oh, you havenât heard? She quit pretty short notice. Moved away."

Morning comes and I pull on the new jacket I bought, tugging up the hood and putting on a pair of sunglasses. Suspicious, but not overly suspicious given the sporadic mix of intense sunshine and rain. I walk the streets but nothing stands out as a clue for my target. Not many apartment windows with all the blinds closed, few people walking the street with their skin completely covered. As the rain begins to pour with more intensity I bolt for the nearest shop--a Starbucks.

Perhaps that is how I ought to go about. Search during the day to find the odd element. Of course, I would have to find shade to keep my own skin from burning. Sara says a hasty goodbye and retreats into the night. Part of me hopes I might see her again. The other part tells me rationally that I should be thinking of more important things. I turn and walk down an alley, considering that I ought to find civilian clothing so as to be less conspicuous.

She does have some of the qualities of an Innuda: pale skin (like moonlight, in fact), pale eyes (a soft lavender shade), and dark hair (a deep shade of chestnut). When she speaks I can tell she has slightly pointed teeth, but again, none of these are conclusive signs that she is a Lylthian. "Well," I add, "I should be going. Perhaps I will see you again during normal daylight hours." "Maybe," Sara agrees noncommittally.

"Iâm afraid I am still unfamiliar with the streets of Paris." I can tell that Sara is trying to wrap up the conversation, not trusting my motivations for being on that street. She has good sense for a human...or a Lylthian.

"Hello again." Sara looks up from the packet of papers she had been reading. "Oh, hi! Did you ever find who you were looking for?" "Not yet," I reply. "Though I feel as though I might be drawing closer." Saraâs eyes flick up and down the street. Sheâs obviously suspicious of me. "Well, good luck with that. You probably wonât find the person at this time of night.""On the contrary, that is precisely when I expect to find him. What are you doing out at this hour?"
