Orion opened the door of a cupboard which fell right into his hand. Some crockery was still in there. Some more or less bashed-up closets showed other useful stuff. Even matches. He tried to lit one. "Useless. They got wet," he murmured a bit disappointed. - An oil-lamp on a little table caught his eye. "See. And it's even still some oil in it. If we can find more of it ... maybe they have something like an store-room."
Evelyn glances around the room, "Oh, its quite nice in here!!" She's always been a fan of old castles, and this one is no exception. Ave walked to a nearby window, leaning on the cool stone and gazing out on the scenery. The rain was still pouring hard. "I guess we'll be here for a while," she murmurs.
"I don't know. But there are some rooms which have more licht than this." He took Ave's and Evelyn's hands to lead them through the darkness. "Let's see if we can find something useful in the kitchen." He lead the way through a corridor where they found to the right the kitchen. "Looks still like it was in 19th century. Just see this beautiful stove!"
Ave almost jumped out of her shoes. Evelyn patted her back while she tried to calm her beating heart. Meanwhile, Ev was beaming. "Orion!! Oh, it is nice to have some company. I was afraid we would be alone in this dark castle." Ave finally calmed down, although her speech was still breathless, "I-Is there any way we could light a candle or something?"
sounds his nose told him who it was. 'Ave ... and Evelyn?' Orion returned into the dark hall, not thinking of the fact that his sense of vision was better now than from normal people and that he would most likely scare the hell out of them. So of course he could see at least their silhouettes, while they coudn't see a sh** in this darkness. So like a ghost from the shell Ave and Evenlyn heard a voice and saw two yellow eyes (which belonged of course Onyx who sat on his shoulder): (c)
Orion strolled through the old castle to find a room that was safe enough to sleep there. Since it was a stone built castle and it was vell preserved for its age, there was no danger that it would collapse. Of course the furniture wasn't that reliable. There were quite some things which were only kept together by the borders of the holes the timberworms have dug. *We aren't alone,* Twilight suddenly said. 'The ghosts of this old ruin?!' Orion chuckled. But when he followed the (c)
Ave and Evelyn had decided to use their free day to take a nice stroll outside of school grounds. But as soon as it had started to rain, they had immediately retired to a nearby old castle. Ave shut the creaky door behind them, sealing them into total darkness. But it seemed...something else was there...
former times. "We can stay there overnight. After all, tomorrow it's Sunday, so we won't miss any lessons." *Violet will rant at you,* Twilight reminded him. *You promised her to be back at evening.* "I can't help it, Twilight. I'm not eager to get a pneumonia. Plus I'm tired." - Soon, he saw the silhouette of the castle from afar. He just made it in time before the rain started to pour down. "See, Onyx, tis time your feathers didn't get wet," he smiled at his owlie. (c)
It had been a beautiful day for Orion, this day off, alone roaming in the highlands of Scotland, and at afternoon a short visit at a friend. In fact, the only friend in the human world. An old shepherd he had worked for. Now on his way back to the academy he saw dark clouds hanging over the highlands. "Looks like it will soon rain cats and dogs," Orion murmured. "I won't make it back to the academy ... but maybe to this old castle." He knew the abandoned, hundreds of years old castle from (c)
