What do you get when you have a good-hearted man and a mischievous fae playing cards together? Well, one thing is for sure, Joel isn't getting his hoodie back. (The #TwilightRealm belongs to @LadyLeaf)
Thank you all!! ^^ @White_Queen When I wrote drunk Joel sobbing into Ygnie's lap, I pictured it in your drawing style, actually. @LadyLeaf Ever so slightly she does. Ygnie has had more than a few sour encounters with humans and Joel was the first to actually be cool with her. I'd like to think it's that sort of deep friendship that can sometimes get mistaken for romantic feelings. But Ygnie isn't blind to the fact that Joel likes someone else and is willing to let him have the other girl. ;)
That is the cutest thing ever! Joel made a bad choice of playing drinking game with a Fae, so unwise. Oh drunk Joel is the most adorable thing ever! And Ygnie in Joel's hoodie!!! I can't even...well if you ask me, I'd think Ygnie secretly likes Joel to some degree...XD
She pressed herself against the adjacent door in the hallway. "Yeah..." She pulled the collar of her new garment up to her nose and took in the scent of alcohol and cologne. "He's much better with her. They're a good fit."
"Yeah, yeah..." He continued eating, hoping that all of the heavy food would hurry up, work it's magic and start soaking up the alcohol in his system. Ygnie twirled her finger around the pull string of the hoodie, anxious to speak. But she found the words and spoke them. "Alinna should be awake soon. When you feel a little better, you should go see her." She cleared her throat and gave her journalist friend a warm hug. "She'll be happy to see you, too." With that, she left Joel alone in the room
She flew over to him and snuggled the beloved item of clothing closer to her. "Because I won it last night." Joel groaned loudly, which his headache reprimanded him for. "You were cheating!" Ygnie pouted. "Not for every round. I won this one fair and square. Whatever that means." "Fine. It's not like I don't have ten others at home." She grinned and sat next to Joel. "Good. Because this is super comfy."
Joel rubbed his eye and stuffed a hearty breakfast roll into his mouth. "Morning or night?" He flopped onto the couch, throwing his head back in painful exhaustion. "Early evening, actually. You slept for a long while. You needed it." He sighed. "I guess. So you- hey!" He sat up straight, looking the melancholy Vila over. Something was off. "Are you wearing my hoodie?" "Yep." "Can I have it back?" "Nope." Joel grumbled. "And why not?"
