| Azriel is a disgraced archangel who was stripped of his power and sent to the mortal realm when he disobeyed the orders of the gods. Over time, Azriel came to realize that humans were hardly the primitive, warlike species he once thought they were. Instead, he found them to be innovative and resilient, full of wonder and creativity. Azriel now seeks to bring justice to the mortal world and overthrow the gods. He then took on the name Alastair, meaning defender of mankind. Alastair is optimistic and friendly, but underneath his fervent belief in the good of others he sees only darkness in himself and when he thinks no one is looking Alastair will appear far sadder and more pensive. He's also quite the lonely fellow, so if anyone would like to create a lady friend for him I welcome them to write a story of how they met in the comments (inspiration for this goes to @Viva-la-Luna).
